Where is Kiwa II located?
Kiwa II is located on Berth 40, Z Pier at Westhaven Marina, Westhaven Drive, Auckland NZ.
2. How many people can cruise on Kiwa II?
Kiwa II can take up to 60 guests onboard to ensure everyone enjoys a fantastic harbour cruise.
Kiwa II is an excellent choice for corporate entertaining, party cruises, weddings, birthdays and client/staff functions.
3. How much is it to hire Kiwa II?
We have a selection of Cruise and Catering packages available and the cost of your charter will depend on the selection you choose.
Once you have made your booking and paid deposit of $1000 per charter, the cost of your charter will not normally be subject to any change.
4. Do I have to pay a deposit when I book?
Yes. To secure the date you want to book, we do require a deposit of $1000 to confirm the booking. This needs to be paid within 5 days of the booking being made by direct deposit to our bank account.
5. Are we allowed to BYO alcohol?
No. Kiwa II has a fully licensed bar facility and bar staff onboard. Please check out the BAR tab to see our beverage menu.
6. What are your rules regarding the bar and service of alcoholic beverages?
The Liquor Licensing Authority states that no intoxicated persons shall be served alcohol from the bar. The captain may use his/her discretion to prohibit intoxicated person/s from boarding the vessel or may remove such person/s once they are on board.
In the interest of the safety of our guests and staff, we reserve the right to refuse service to guests who act intoxicated. Where we feel that the majority of guests on board are not within out judgment of responsible host alcohol consumption we will shut the bar and refuse service of all alcoholic beverages (non alcoholic beverages will still be available).
If we feel that the safety of our staff or guests is being compromised by the behavior of any passenger/s on board we will, at the captain's discretion and without prior notice return to shore immediately.
7. Does Kiwa II have a catering facility?
Yes. We have a full selection of Cruise and Catering packages available. Check out of MENUS tab to look at our packages or feel free to contact us if you have any specific catering needs that are not shown on our menus. We will do our best to cater to your needs to ensure you have a great time!
8. What is the cost for catering?
The cost for catering depends on the cruise and catering option you select and the number of guests you will be having onboard.
9. Can we do our own catering?
Yes, there is a $7.50 per person booked charge to Self Cater. If your guest numbers do not reach the amount of booked guest numbers you will still be charged for the original numbers booked, due to staff engaged for the charter based on the original numbers.
12. Is there parking available for us to use while we are on the cruise?
Yes. Parking is available in the Z pier carpark at a cost of $3 per hour (pay and display). Or alternatively you can park for free at Pier K - X in the visitors parking bays and walk to Z pier (about a 3 minute walk).
13. Can we supply our own music on Kiwa II?
Yes. Kiwa II has a surround sound system that you can plug your iPod or iPhone into.
14. Can we play DVD's on Kiwa II?
Yes. Kiwa II has an entertainment system onboard for your use.
15. How do I put photos onto a playable DVD to use on Kiwa II?
You can use a program called "Microsoft Windows DVD maker" to create your own DVD from your photos or videos.
1). Open Windows DVD maker, click on "Next".
2). Add your Photos or Videos for your DVD. Then click on "Next".
3). Select your Style, you can try different style and preview your DVD at this step.
4). After you decided all the settings, insert a blank DVD disc into your DVD-ROM (It has to be a DVD writer), Click on "Burn".
16. Additional Notes
Shoes must be worn at all times during the charter so please make sure your shoes are comfortable, No stilettoes please.
No chewing gum permitted, if any is dropped and sticks to the carpet your $250 damage deposit will be used to hire professional carpet cleaners.
